Our 2023 Best Moments

We love a list.  Especially when we have wonderful things to put on it.  2023 has been a big year here at our Secret Linen Store and so we are lucky to be able to make a very long list of fabulous things to celebrate.     

Right at the top of our 2023 best moments list is the unveiling of our glossy new Shopify website earlier in the year.  Hours of hard work behind the scenes made the transition a seamless experience for our customers and we’re tickled pink by our new all-singing all-dancing online shop. 

The next highlight was the launch of our 100% linen nightwear collection, adding yet another layer of buttery softness to bedtime.  Linen is one of our very favourite fabrics so it’s a dream come true to have a whole rail of drapey and colourful nighties, pyjamas and robes in this very special fabric. 

We pride ourselves on having a healthy and positive workplace culture that celebrates growth, creativity and camaraderie.  So it was quite the honour when we proudly clinched the title of Employer of the Year at the Dynamic Business Awards.  Pats on the back all round. 

Our Secret Linen Store parcels are now travelling a bit further since we spread our wings and ventured into international waters.  Beds in cities as widespread as Auckland, Sofia, Singapore and Las Vegas are now dressed in our lovely linens.  Buenas noches, amigos. 

Secret Linen Store turned 10!  2023 marked a whole decade of fabulous fabrics and beautiful bed linen.  More than an anniversary, it’s a reflection of our unwavering dedication to providing exceptional bedding and making the bed-making world better, one pillow at a time. 

In a riot of colour and creativity, we put our heads together with print designer Kitty McCall to create a bed linen collection featuring her joyful Summer Garden print.  Glorious greens, as well as every other colour in the flowerbed, collide here on 100% linen to make your bedroom a splendid work of art. 

By far our biggest achievement of 2023 has been receiving our B Corp certification.  Our high score in the impact assessment puts us firmly in bed with over 4,000 other companies across the globe all dedicated to doing good, making a difference and continuing to make things better wherever we can.  And this is just the start of our journey; being a B Corp is a commitment to keep making things better for years to come.   

This year Molly and Harriet have rolled over and made some room in the big Secret Linen Store bed for a third sister, Rosie, who is helping take the business into its next decade.  Rosie’s entrepreneurial spirit is just what we need to grow and develop and we welcome her fresh thinking and boundless enthusiasm for our little bed-making business.  

As we danced into our new decade, Molly was excited to dust off her paintbrushes and play with some colour resulting in four brand new and fabulous patterns to spruce up our autumn collection.  We welcome Elodie, Jude, Hoya, Hemlock and the lovely Tom to the family. 

As we say goodnight to the list of memories of 2023 we would like to take this opportunity to say a very big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has made this year truly extraordinary.  The bedtime story continues and we just can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for our Secret Linen Store.
