Natural Linen Bedding FAQs

What does natural linen actually mean?

When we talk about natural linen, we celebrate the beautiful, earthy, warm neutral colourway that mimics the organic shade of the flax crop itself.

Rather than a white or a deep hue, our natural linen offers a gorgeous, grounding taupe. It brings all the rustic, laid-back charm of the natural world into your bedroom, creating a beautifully calm and versatile base that pairs effortlessly with almost any other colour in your home.

Why is linen a good choice for more conscious sleepers?

Our linen is certified to the Masters of FLAX FIBRE™ standard, supporting responsible farming practices in Europe. Flax is generally grown without irrigation, relying on natural rainfall, and inputs such as fertilisers and treatments are only used when needed, based on local conditions. It is also grown in long rotations to help maintain soil health and support biodiversity, and every part of the plant is used, meaning very little goes to waste.

Will natural linen soften over time?

When natural linen is brand new, the fibres can feel a little crisp. But think of it exactly like your favourite pair of high-quality denim jeans: every single time you wash your natural linen, the pectin binding the fibres gently breaks down. It becomes increasingly supple, wonderfully drapey, and buttery soft, uniquely shaping to how you sleep.
