Our Gorgeous Goose Emperor Duvet is certainly a treat. Made with 85% goose down clusters, and 15% goose feather. Sleeping under this duvet is just like sleeping under a cloud. We’ve chosen this special filling combination to give you all the comfort of down with a really good price. Goose down is more expensive than feather because it only covers about 10% of the bird, and the soft down clusters have to be handled gently to ensure they are not damaged in any way. Believe us when we say that it’s worth the extra.
This duvet has a high fill power of 650. The fill power is the measurement of cubic inches that one ounce of down will fluff up to. So the higher the fill power, the larger the down clusters are, and the bigger they are, the better the quality. Simple as that. We’ve used a splendid 300 thread count cotton cover on this luxury duvet, and a sateen piped edge for the finishing touch. If looked after well, this duvet should last you at least 10 years. The case has a piped sateen edge, and a baffle box construction, meaning the filling will stay where it's intended, in the patchwork pockets within the duvet.
All of our duvets are hand made in Scotland and filled to order, so your duvet will be fresh. Our natural duvets can be washed in the machine at home, but we always recommend taking them to a specialist cleaner, so you don’t damage the filling. Find out more about caring for your duvet here. They are also Nomite and Downafresh certified, so they are almost impenetrable by dust mites, and have been made with the highest hygiene standards.
The measurements for all our filled bedding items are for the outer cotton casing. The final product size may be ever so slightly different from the listed size depending on the tog and fill chosen. The more we pop inside the plumper it gets, this is all very normal.
Our All Seasons duvet consists of a 4.5 tog duvet and a 9 tog duvet that can be fastened together with nifty poppers, so that you'll be covered for summer, winter, and everything in between.
