Whether you like firm, soft, bouncy, flat, one or two pillows is a personal preference but we're happy to help you choose.

There are many benefits to choosing the perfect pillow, from ensuring you have a restful night's sleep to waking up ache and pain-free.

Have a read of our guide to choosing a pillow, and then if you still need more help, feel free to call our friendly and knowledgeable Customer Smile Makers.

First of all, what is a tog? A tog is a unit of measurement used to indicate the warmth of a duvet; the higher the tog rating, the warmer the duvet will be.

Here at Secret Linen Store, we recommend a 2.5 or 4.5 tog for the summer months, a 9 or 10.5 tog for the spring and autumn and a 13.5 or 15 tog duvet for the winter.

If you want a duvet you can use it year-round, we'd recommend choosing a 9 or 10.5 tog. You can always go for an All Seasons option, which incorporates two duvets (4.5 and 10 tog) which can be used separately throughout the year but then popped together to make a 13.5 tog duvet for winter use.

You can learn more about matching your duvet tog to the season in our helpful guide.

Picking out a duvet comes with a few head scratchers. What tog will you need for the temperature? How heavy or light do you prefer your duvet to be?  How large a duvet will you need?

Our guide to choosing your duvet can help you tackle this quest - or watch our video below.

The lifespan of duvets and pillows varies depending on the fill, how regularly they’re used and how they're cared for. Sadly, over time, pillows lose shape and support, and duvets can lose their loft and insulation properties.

Our top tip is to replace pillows every 1-2 years and duvets every 5-10 years. You can read more about caring for your duvets, pillows and mattress toppers here.

Matching the size of your duvet and pillow set to your bed size is a recipe for maximum comfort. But what is the difference between a single duvet and pillow vs a double duvet and pillow set? See our chart to size up with ease, or give our size guide a read.

We have a fill for everyone here at the Secret Linen Store.

We have feather and down, with their excellent insulation properties, synthetic options for those preferring to avoid a natural fill, and a wool offering if you're looking for temperature-regulating superpowers.

Each product listing features a detailed description if you need to read up on the different fills, or you can read more about our bedding fill options here. If you still need help, please call and chat with our lovely Customer Smile Makers.

Are you looking to sleep better with allergies? When it comes to the changing seasons, ensuring you have the right duvet and pillow set to beat your allergies can be confusing.

However, to make your lives easier, all our feather, down and wool fillings meet hypoallergenic standards, meaning that they are suitable for people with allergies.

We have put together a handy guide so you can find out everything you need to know about anti-allergy bedding.
