Golden Goose Duvet - 100% Hungarian Goose Down

It’s hard to know where to start; describing our Golden Goose is an impossible task in this small space. After a long search (9 years) looking high and low for the best cover/filling combination for a luxury duvet, we have finally found something very special indeed. This beats any duvet that has gone before.

This duvet has our very best 100% Hungarian down filling. Lighter than the lightest thing you can think of, each pocket is individually filled to perfection by our skilled factory in Scotland just for you. A baffle wall construction with invisible stitching creates perfect pockets inside and is designed to evenly distribute the down. No cold patches in our Golden Goose.

With a sky-high 800 fill power, this utterly huggable duvet is silky, soft and snug, while remaining whisper-light, and is sure to make every bedtime feel like a luxury indulgence. It goes without saying that all of our natural fillings reach the highest standards of welfare and hygiene, and our down is Downafresh® certified with a NOMITE certified outer casing (discover more in our Bedding Buying Guide).

Available in all standard UK sizes from single to emperor, this magic duvet is made even more delightful by its batiste 100% cotton cover, also ÖekoTex® Standard 100 certified. This has a 379 thread count and is lightweight and super luxurious. The 100% cotton long staple fibre is finished to highest of standards in Germany. It is breathable, soft and has exceptional wicking properties, it is also exceptionally down proof making it the perfect partner to our Hungarian goose down filling.

The fabric cover has the ‘’Bramscher Tuch’’ quality seal – this fabric is the only cotton fabric we could find that uses a traditional artisan method to create a beautiful fabric with a blend of high-quality raw materials, fine yarns and exclusive cotton finishing. The finishing used on the fabric SanProCare® sensitive is exclusive to this fabric – this finishing enables the fabric to absorb moisture fast and releases it quickly into the air – this creates a downy soft, dry and warm bed climate for you to give you the very best night’s sleep.

This duvet is available in a choice of six togs to cover the changing of the seasons. We suggest a 2.5 or 4.5 tog for summer use, 9 tog for spring to autumn, 10.5 tog for the winter, 13.5 tog for those coldest winter nights and 15 tog for those who like being cocooned in cosiness. We also have an All Seasons duvet (4.5 plus 9 tog) for a comfortable sleep all year round.

The measurements for all our filled bedding items are for the outer cotton casing. The final product size may be ever so slightly different from the listed size depending on the tog and fill chosen. The more we pop inside the plumper it gets, this is all very normal.
