A pure down pillow is one of life’s fluffiest and softest pleasures, so can you imagine our joy and cartwheeling when we found this sustainable, 100% recycled filling to make our Second Timer Down Pillows. We are as keen to find ways to support the circular economy (using resources more than once) as we are on an early night and this filling ticks all of the circular economy boxes.
Filled with down that is trademarked and called NEOKDUN® this pillow not only feels like the finest, softest pillow in town, but when you turn out the lights, you can rest your head on one of these with a very clear conscious knowing that your pillow is certified with the NVP Traceability Standard and the filling process has been audited to guarantee ethical sourcing of down.
Our Second Timer Down is 100% biodegradable. The result of hand extracting from “end of life” products, is a filling made up of a mixture of down species all taken from garments and pre loved bedding that has no use to a sound sleeper anymore.
The filling is recovered from high end garments & sleep products across Europe, sanitised and regenerated by very clever people with clever environmentally friendly machines. The process to turn the down clusters back into grade one filling does not use any environmentally harmful products, and in turn creates a warm, breathable, light, clean and super luxurious filling.
This pillow is wrapped in a soft 300 thread count, 100% cotton cover with a piped trim for long-lasting quality. It's also Nomite and Downafresh certified, meaning the filling is made to the highest welfare and hygiene standards, and the cover is almost impenetrable to dust mites, so even allergy sufferers can drift off in peace. This fab filling is also Hypoallergenic.
Our Second Timer down is made to order especially for you, in your choice of medium or firm filling. We can make you any or a mixture of our 3 sizes, standard 50 x 75, Square 65 x 65 and Super King 50x90 cm.
Machine washable like all of our down products, pop this in the wash at 40 degrees and Tumble dry on a low heat, dry until completely dry.
